Lost at the Junction

About

Tom Henbest & Lauren Casselman

Lost at the Junction explores the beauty between traditional and new, forgotten and undiscovered.  Featuring Eastern Ontario artists Lauren Casselman and Tom Henbest, this husband and wife duo aims to create an intimate experience through old-time, folk and singer-songwriter sounds.

Lauren studied vocal performance at Carleton University in Ottawa, with an emphasis in musical theatre.  Passionate about sharing theatre with young people, she has directed youth musicals has toured schools with educational theatre companies. She now trains a team of oxen, a husband and a dog.

Tom is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who thrives in the obscure and often long-ignored historical music world.  He has led the Upper Canada Village music department for the past decade.  When he is not playing banjo or herding goats, Tom enjoys attending square dances and ceilidhs — especially when there is a complimentary lunch.
